Naren House: A Family Heirloom Reimagined in Ahmedabad | P&S Associates

"Heritage bungalow renovation with antiques, luxury home architects Ahmedabad, P&S Associates"

Naren House, our 70-year-old multi-generational bungalow renovation in Ahmedabad, is featured in Elle Decor. What makes this project personal is that our principal architect, Palna Shah, is also the homeowner, inheriting the 7,000 sq ft house from her grandfather, C. Naren, an avid collector of art and antiques.

The feature explores how Palna approached the renovation as both architect and custodian, working to enhance the antiques and craft the family had collected over decades while building a home that still functions for daily life today. White terrazzo flooring runs through the house as a neutral, age-old foundation, paired with warm teakwood and pops of terra-red and antique pichwai green. A staircase lined with antique paintings and a passageway anchored by a temple-sourced elephant sculpture turn circulation itself into a kind of memory walk through the family's collection.

As luxury home architects in Ahmedabad, we see projects like this as proof that heritage and daily livability aren't in conflict. They just need careful, patient design.
